François joined the law firm Grant Thornton Société d’Avocats as a Tax Director Attorney in 2024.
Before joining Grant Thornton Société d'Avocats, he worked as an attorney for a leading law firm in their Lille office, where he was responsible for developing their tax advisory services in the regions, more particularly in the Hauts-de-France region.
François has more than 14 years’ experience in French and international tax matters, including assistance with client tax audits, due diligences and the structuring of mergers and acquisitions.
He began his career in 2010 as an international tax specialist with a Big Four in Luxembourg before joining another consulting firm in 2012, to work in their Lille office as a corporate and tax lawyer. From 2012 to 2022, he worked as an in-house tax counsel in the retail sector (ID KIDS, PROMOD) and became the European head of tax law for a major player in the renewable energy sector (BORALEX).
He advises his numerous clients, companies and directors alike, on all the tax issues they face, and assists them in both their day-to-day and exceptional business requirements. His sector experience has also given him the opportunity to work on a number of cases in the renewable energy industry as well as on sustainable transformation and ESG matters.
In addition, François lectures on corporate and international taxation subjects to Master 2 university students in Corporate Law and Taxation at the Université Catholique de Lille.
François speaks English fluently.
